This month, I took a five day trip to Estes Park in Colorado. My first impression of this tucked away getaway, was "Holy Mountains"! The mountains seemed to engulf you as you drove in from the plains and suddenly you were in a whole other world. If you've ever watched "Narnia" it was almost exactly like going through those wardrobe doors and stepping into a completely different world. Though Estes, CO is a very well known place for tourists from all around, it gave you very much a small town feel. Hardly any large corporations or businesses had made it's way into this magical destination and was lined with local mom and pop shops. Very few destinations can give you the sense of "Coming Home" as Estes did.
Besides the tall and expansive mountain ranges, free rivers rushed through and wildlife was a common occurrence as you drove the winding roads to the park and to town. I would highly suggest going in the winter if you are looking for less tourists and a beautiful wintery landscape. However, if you are not a confident, mountain driver, the warmer seasons may be more comfortable to go.
I'll be uploading more photos and videos on my socials, so make sure to follow along my Estes trip on Instagram and YouTube. Interested in taking the same magical experience I did? I've got a trip already built up waiting for you to go!
This Estes trip is the exact blueprint that I took this January. If you're wanting to get closer to nature and snuggle up in a cabin in the woods, check this trip out!

I'm sure the big question this year (and past) is "what should I do?". With so many different changes going on in our personal lives, it can be overwhelming navigating the current Pandemic when wanting to travel or just take a day to get away. In this series, I'll be giving you some of the best tips to navigating Covid and taking the break you deserve!
Top Five Essentials to Pack:
- Masks, Masks, Masks!
- Sanitizer
- A handful of "At Home" Tests
- Ibuprofen
- Vaccination Card
Whatever stance you may take on Covid, I believe one should be prepared to navigate any and all situations. This is going to be making your trips much more easier if you do end up running into an obstacle you weren't planning on. Many states will have similar regulations while local shops and tourist attractions will have ones of their own.
